A progressive photonics company in Singapore is seeking a Failure Analysis Engineer to ensure the reliability of advanced optical transceiver products. You will lead investigations of failures, collaborating closely with R&D and production teams. The ideal candidate should have a BS/MS in engineering and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, particularly in transceiver module testing. This hands-on role involves developing test scripts and infrastructure, emphasizing innovation and continuous improvement in optical technologies.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in related field is required.
• Strong device physics background is essential.
• Familiarity with basic failure analysis techniques methodologies is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead investigations of optical, electrical, and mechanical failures.
• Document all test and failure analysis results thoroughly.
• Interface with cross functional teams to determine root cause of failures.
• Develop new test infrastructure and automation scripts.

Skills

Experience in transceiver module tests at 400G, 800G, 1.6T

Strong data analysis skills

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Familiar with MSA and customer standards requirements

Extensive knowledge of analog and digital circuits

Fundamental understanding of OSA assembly and its peripheral circuits

Education

BS/MS in physics, electrical or mechanical engineering
