Job summary

SSMC in Singapore is seeking a Photo Process Associate Engineer to join the Photo, Process Eng. III group. You will assist process engineers on production-line activities, support 12-hour shifts, and ensure tool and process integrity.

Ideal candidates have a diploma in microelectronics or related field, 0–2 years’ experience, basic knowledge of Excel/PowerPoint/Outlook/VBA/Tableau, SPC concepts, and strong English and Mandarin communication.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Microelectronics or related engineering field.
• 1–2 years’ experience in front-end semiconductor manufacturing preferred.
• Fresh graduates welcome to apply.
• Basic theory including two or more areas such as Wafer Fabrication Technology.
• Basic knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, VBA and Tableau.
• Basic statistical and SPC knowledge.
• Able to work 12-hour rotating shifts (day/night) and in a clean room.
• Good communication in English and Mandarin.

Responsibilities

• Assist process engineers on production-line activities to hit operation goals.
• Perform 12-hour shifts to support the photo production line and maintain tool integrity.
• Monitor and sustain SPC to ensure product quality.
• Mentor and support OJT for new technicians and junior engineers.
• Follow up on project qualification lots and related line issues.
• Collate data on tool faults and defective products per procedures.
• Provide accurate pass-downs and track outstanding tasks.
• Set up metrology recipes and perform routine housekeeping.
• Escalate issues timely and maintain safety in fab and office areas.
• Participate in Transform Platform initiatives.

We’re searching for a Photo Process Associate Engineer to be part of our Photo, Process Eng. III Department diverse team of talent.

What you will be working on

• To assist the process engineers in production line related activities to achieve operation goals
• Perform shift duties (12 hours) to support production line related to Photo to ensure process integrity of tools for production
• Monitor and sustain SPC (fine tuning of processes) to ensure quality of products meet requirements
• Assist new Technician, Associate Engineers on their On-The-Job-Training (OJT) by acting as their buddy
• Assist Engineers on project qualification lot follow-up and support excursion or line related issues.
• Obtains data of products affected by tool faults & dispose products according to procedure within expected time
• Obtains data of products exceed defects warning limits and dispose products according to procedure; Ensure suspected tool recover to baseline defects performance before release for production run.
• Obtains, review and analysis defect and WAT data for products as per procedure
• Provide proper and accurate pass down of line issues, outstanding tasks and document properly. Able to take over pass down and follow up on outstanding tasks diligently
• Set-up metrology recipes in respective metrology tools and able to perform regular house-keeping
• Ensure and follow good housekeeping and job safety practices when work in office and in fab area
• Communicate with relevant parties during shift works and Escalate in time at situation defined as per sop defined
• Maintain good housekeeping in the production area, ensuring good safety practice and also safe custody of tools, equipment and other properties belonging to the Module
• Participate in Transform Platform

More about you

• Diploma in Microelectronics, Electrical, Electronics Engineering, Chemical engineering, Chemistry & Physics
• 1-2 years’ experience in front end semiconductor manufacturing environment preferred
• Fresh diploma graduates with keen interest are welcome to apply
• Basic theory/knowledge, which should include at least two of the following
• Wafer Fabrication Technology
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook, VBA, Tableau
• Basic statistical, SPC knowledge
• Able to perform 12-hour rotating shift (day/night) and work under pressure
• Able to work in clean room environment
• Able to work overtime (day/night) during off-days when needed
• Clear and concise communication skills
• Able to communicate in English & Mandarin
