Job summary

Raffles Medical Group is seeking experienced Phlebotomists to support health screening centres and clinics in Singapore. You will perform phlebotomy procedures, identify patients, label specimens, and assist with health measurements and basic administrative tasks to ensure smooth daily operations and a positive patient experience.

Ideal candidates hold a recognised Phlebotomy certificate, have hands-on phlebotomy experience, and preferably at least 1 year in a healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• Recognised certificate or training in Phlebotomy.
• Hands-on phlebotomy experience required.
• Preferably 1 year of relevant working experience.
• Experience in a clinic/health screening centre or hospital is advantageous.
• Able to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform phlebotomy procedures in a safe, accurate and professional manner.
• Ensure proper patient identification prior to blood collection.
• Label and handle blood specimens accurately.
• Support basic health screening measurements.
• Provide good patient service and ensure patient comfort.
• Maintain accurate documentation and patient records.
• Support basic administrative duties as needed.
• Collaborate with nurses and clinic staff to ensure smooth operations.
• Maintain infection control, safety and hygiene standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Overview

The successful candidates will be responsible for performing phlebotomy procedures and supporting basic clinical and administrative duties to ensure smooth daily operations and a positive patient experience.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform phlebotomy procedures in a safe, accurate and professional manner.
• Ensure proper patient identification prior to blood collection.
• Label and handle blood specimens accurately in accordance with established procedures.
• Support basic health screening measurements such as height, weight, blood pressure and other required parameters.
• Provide good patient service and ensure patient comfort throughout the procedure.
• Maintain accurate documentation and patient records.
• Support basic administrative duties such as document scanning, filing and data collation where required.
• Work closely with nurses, clinic staff and other healthcare professionals to support smooth daily operations.
• Maintain appropriate infection control, safety and hygiene standards.
• Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned by the supervisor or Head of Department.

Job Requirements

• Possess a recognised Certificate or relevant training in Phlebotomy.
• Prior hands-on phlebotomy experience is required.
• Preferably at least 1 year of relevant working experience.
• Prior experience in a clinic, health screening centre, hospital or other healthcare setting will be advantageous.
• Confident in performing blood-taking procedures independently.
• Responsible, reliable and able to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
• Service-oriented with good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Able to work effectively as part of a healthcare team.
