Job summary

Alexandra Hospital in Singapore is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacists in safe, timely drug distribution and patient care.

You will perform dispensing, processing orders, inventory control, and maintain SOPs while providing courteous service to patients and staff.

The role requires initiative, teamwork, good communication and flexibility to work weekends or public holidays, with potential involvement in quality improvement projects as needed.

Qualifications

• CPTC certification or Diploma in Pharmaceutical Science required
• Able to communicate effectively

Responsibilities

• Pharmacy Operational duties
• Perform simple dispensing of medication in accordance with legal requirements and service standards
• Processing medication orders
• Picking, packing and labelling of medicines in accordance to SOP
• Medication reconciliation steps: counting, sorting and typing of prescriptions
• Interventions for selected drug groups
• Perform billing functions
• Quality customer service to patients/customers
• Provide professional and courteous service
• Inventory and Expiry Date Management
• Ensure stocks are stocked up properly and tidily according to FEST-in-First-Out
• Carry out cycle counts and stock accuracy
• Comply with medication safety practices in the pharmacy
• Involve in quality improvement projects when required
