Job summary

• Perform simple dispensing of medication in accordance with legal requirements and service standards
• Processing medication orders
• Picking, packing and labelling of medicines in accordance to SOP
• Medication reconciliation steps: counting, sorting and typing of prescriptions
• Interventions for selected drug groups
• Perform billing functions
• Quality customer service to patients/customers
• Provide professional and courteous service
• Inventory and Expiry Date Management
• Ensure stocks are stocked up properly and tidily according to FEST-in-First-Out
• Carry out cycle counts and stock accuracy
• Comply with medication safety practices in the pharmacy
• Involve in quality improvement projects when required

Overview

Perform technical duties under the supervision of pharmacists to ensure safe, efficient and timely distribution of drugs in AH.

Perform technical duties under the supervision of pharmacists to ensure safe, efficient and timely distribution of drugs in AH. Assist the pharmacist in-charge to provide supervision to pharmacy support staff and to coordinate activities within a section to ensure smooth workflow and continuous improvement. Dispense medicines to the patients according to department policies and guidelines.

Job Responsibilities

Requirements

• Possess Certified Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPTC) OR Diploma in Pharmaceutical Science OR foreign Pharmacy degree (not recognized by Singapore Pharmacy Council)
