Job summary

Khoo Teck Puat Hospital is seeking a Pharmacy Tech to assist pharmacists in processing inpatient medication orders, packaging, labeling and distribution to wards and departments. You will help maintain a clean room and related equipment per policies, dispense medications under supervision, and monitor stock levels.

You will also receive, unpack and check deliveries, perform FEFO stock management, and assist in daily operations including unit dose repackaging and topping up automated cabinets as

Pharmacy Tech

(Specifics 90%)

1. Assist the pharmacist in the processing of medication orders for inpatient

dispensing which includes typing, packing, labelling and distribution of drug supplies to the wards and other hospital departments

1. Ensure maintenance, sanitation and organization of clean room and related equipment

according to policies and procedures.

1. Dispense medications under the supervision of a pharmacist.


2. Monitor and maintain inventory stock level of drugs in the areas of work.


3. Receive, unpack and check deliveries against the appropriate documents, to ensure that

items received are correct and accounted for.

1. Perform stock receipts and issues in FEFO order


2. Assist in providing quality customer service.


3. Assist in planning and managing or performing unit dose repackaging production.


4. Assist in overseeing or performing topping up of medications into Automated Medication Cabinets


5. Maintain the cleanliness of the work areas and prepare these for daily operations


6. Any other duties assigned by the supervisor.

1. Assist in orientating and training new staff assigned to the section.


2. Assist pharmacist in managing the operations in the assigned section.


3. Foster continuous improvements as our way of life by encouraging staff efforts at

improving processes to achieve clinical quality and operational excellence

1. Support the hospital by participating actively in the various activities organized by the hospital. Activities include QC, community projects, staff welfare and recreational activities and etc.
