Tan Tock Seng Hospital is seeking a Pharmacy Assistant to support frontline pharmacy operations and work toward becoming a Pharmacy Technician. The role includes handling patient inquiries, financial counseling for schemes, and dispensing support in a fast-paced hospital setting.

The program offers initial 8-week hourly-rate contractual work, with potential for a 1-year renewable contract and CPTC sponsorship to progress as a Pharmacy Technician. Office hours with weekend rosters may apply.

Competenze

• Minimum 3 GCE O level credits in English, Mathematics and Science OR NITEC/Diploma holders in any discipline
• 2 years of working experience preferred (not limited to within healthcare, although relevant healthcare related work would be an advantage)
• Candidates with CPTC certificate may apply directly as a Pharmacy Technician

Mansioni

• Attending to phone or walk-in enquiries from patients and next-of-kin
• Financial counselling relating to Government schemes subsidies or insurance schemes
• Conduct Medication Supply Verification for patients at assigned clinics
• Picking, packing and labeling of medication prescriptions with speed and accuracy within the targeted timeframe
• Relabeling and printing summary labels, rectify typing errors, file and count prescriptions
• Management of drug stock and inventory, monitoring buffer stock and near-expiry meds, receiving goods from store
• Detect prescription errors or processing errors and perform prescriber clarification and rectification
• Ad-hoc duties from time to time
