About The Job

Singapore is BW Offshore's largest onshore office and primary project execution hub, supporting approximately 250 employees across corporate and project functions.

We are looking for an experienced People Operations professional to support the delivery of People operations for the Singapore office. This role is suited to a hands-on HR practitioner who combines strong operational expertise with sound judgement, a proactive mindset, and a commitment to continuous improvement.

You will play a key role in ensuring efficient, compliant, and service-oriented People operations that support the organisation's workforce needs. This includes overseeing People processes, advising stakeholders on employment matters and policy application, strengthening governance and data practices, and executing on initiatives that improve operational effectiveness and employee experience.

This role goes beyond operational delivery. You navigate ambiguity with confidence, proactively identify what needs to happen, form clear recommendations, and drive outcomes with limited direction, while working across functions, cultures, and geographies

Key Tasks And Responsibilities

• Provide first-line HR advisory support on employee relations matters, employment legislation, policy interpretation, and HR processes, escalating issues where appropriate
• Coordinate day-to-day HR operational activities for the Singapore office, ensuring consistent service delivery, efficient and well-documented processes, and a positive employee experience across the full employee lifecycle
• Lead Singapore employment compliance activities, including monitoring legislative and regulatory developments, managing MOM reporting obligations, maintaining compliance documentation, and coordinating audit and regulatory review readiness, escalating material risks and changes to the P&C Manager
• Administer global mobility and international assignment processes, providing timely and compliant support for employee movements and assignment-related matters
• Manage employment administration and work pass processing activities, supporting recruitment, onboarding, workforce planning, and employee lifecycle requirements
• Coordinate mobilisation and demobilisation activities for corporate and project employees, facilitating smooth deployments, transfers, rotations, and exits
• Lead the planning, coordination, and delivery of employee engagement initiatives for the singapore office that enhance culture, employee connection, and workplace experience. this includes managing stakeholder involvement, budget, and vendor relationships where applicable
• Contribute to process improvement, automation, and digitalisation initiatives by identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, data quality, and employee experience
• Support the consistent application of people & culture policies, processes, and practices to promote a positive, compliant, and high-performing work environment

Experience & Background

• Experienced working in multinational companies with a global mindset and the ability to navigate cross-cultural and cross-border complexity
• Sound knowledge of Singapore employment legislation, MOM regulations, employment practices, and work pass administration
• Proven experience managing employee lifecycle activities, employee relations matters, and HR compliance requirements with minimal supervision
• Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and deliver high-quality operational support in a fast-paced, international environment
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify what is working, what is not, and what still needs investigating and to form and communicate clear recommendations accordingly
• Comfortable operating in ambiguous situations where the path forward is not always defined, and able to exercise sound judgement to determine the right course of action
• Exposure to project-based, engineering, offshore, energy, maritime, construction, or similarly complex operational environments would be advantageous
