Job summary

PERSOL Outsourcing is seeking an experienced Pega Developer to design and implement Pega applications using low‑code capabilities and best practices. You will build case types, data models, and responsive interfaces while integrating with external systems.

The role requires 5+ years of hands‑on Pega experience, CSA or CSSA certification, and cloud certifications (Azure/AWS). Strong knowledge of Pega Cloud Services, Kubernetes, and front‑end tech (React/Angular) is essential.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or related field; diploma with relevant experience may be considered.
• Minimum 5 years of hands‑on experience in developing, implementing, and delivering Pega applications.
• Demonstrated experience in system development, enhancement, and maintenance using Pega technologies.
• Must have Pega CSA or CSSA certification; CLSA or other Pega certs are a plus.
• Cloud certifications (Azure / AWS) at Foundational or Associate level or above.
• Strong front‑end skills in React or Angular.
• Strong understanding of Pega Cloud Services and Kubernetes.
• Experience with Pega UI tools (UI Kit, Theme Cosmos, Constellation) and App Studio/Dev Studio.
• Experience integrating Pega with external systems; SQL/database familiarity.
• Familiarity with OOP concepts, Java/JavaScript scripting languages; exposure to AI (Pega GenAI).
• Agile or Waterfall delivery experience; strong debugging and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

Application Development & Configuration

• Design and develop Pega applications using the Pega Platform’s low‑code capabilities in alignment with best practices.
• Build case types, data models, responsive user interfaces, and integrations with external systems.
• Implement business logic using Activities, Data Transforms, and Decision Rules.
• Configure workflows, Service Level Agreements (SLAs), and routing logic.
• Implement application security using Pega security rules.
• Develop reports using Report Definitions and Report Viewer.
• Optimize application performance using Pega tools and database utilities.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues within Pega applications and databases.
• Develop and maintain reusable components and frameworks.
• Research, evaluate, and adopt new Pega features to enhance solutions.
• Participate in code reviews and knowledge‑sharing sessions to maintain quality and promote best practices.

Technical Design

• Translate business requirements into technical specifications.
• Create and maintain low‑level technical design documentation.
• Ensure adherence to Pega best practices, guardrails, and standards.
• Optimize application performance, scalability, and maintainability.

Integration & Testing

• Integrate Pega applications with external systems using REST, SOAP, Email, File, and other supported protocols.
• Develop Pega unit test cases and perform unit testing.
• Support system testing and user acceptance testing (UAT).
• Debug and resolve defects and technical issues.
• Support deployment activities across multiple environments.

Collaboration & Documentation

• Work closely with business analysts, architects, and stakeholders.
• Participate in requirement gathering and solution design sessions.
• Document technical specifications, configurations, and processes.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline (Diploma holders with relevant experience may also be considered)
• Minimum 5 years of hands‑on experience in developing, implementing, and delivering Pega applications
• Demonstrated experience in system development, enhancement, and maintenance using Pega technologies
• Must have either Pega Certified System Architect (CSA) or Pega Certified Senior System Architect (CSSA)
• Good to have Pega Certified Lead System Architect (CLSA) or other Pega certifications
• Azure or AWS Cloud certifications (Foundational / Associate or above)
• Specialization in React or Angular front‑end technologies
• Strong understanding of Pega Cloud Services
• Hands‑on experience with Kubernetes
• Strong understanding of Pega out‑of‑the‑box (OOTB) capabilities with the ability to articulate technical solutions clearly
• Hands‑on experience using App Studio, Dev Studio, and Pega Blueprint
• Experience working with UI‑Kit, Theme‑Cosmos, and Constellation applications
• Proven experience integrating Pega applications with external systems
• Familiarity with databases and SQL concepts
• Familiarity with object‑oriented programming (OOP) concepts and programming/scripting languages such as Java, JavaScript, and Shell/Bash
• Exposure to AI technologies, including Pega GenAI capabilities
• Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall delivery methodologies
• Strong debugging skills using Pega diagnostic tools, with the ability to propose alternative solutions and workarounds
