Job summary

ShopBack is seeking a Business & Strategy Analyst Intern to join our Regional Payments team. You will work with the Strategy & Planning group to provide strategic insights across Payments Products/Services. The ideal candidate combines data-wrangling skills with business acumen to partner with stakeholders and deliver actionable insights.

We are accepting applications for H1 2027. The role requires a full-time commitment, ideally for 6 months, in Singapore.

Qualifications

Clean, structured, high-performance SQL code is a must.
Experience with data visualization and BI tools is a plus.
Good Python foundation is a plus but not required.
Strong English communication and ability to grasp stakeholder requirements.
Keen interest/knowledge of Fintech or E-commerce is a plus.
Self-starter who can work in a highly ambiguous environment.
AI competency: demonstrated use of AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude) to develop or improve workflows.

Responsibilities

Understand our data ecosystem across multiple data sources and product lines.
Design and implement data models and reporting solutions (reports, dashboards) to measure defined metrics.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business challenges and deliver end-to-end solutions.
Support management with ad-hoc data requests and analytical deep-dives.
