Job summary

MAS Monetary Authority of Singapore is seeking a Technology Specialist to lead policy and infrastructure projects for next-gen payments connectivity. You will review technical architectures, assess risks, and collaborate with industry partners to strengthen Singapore's position as a global payments hub.

The role requires strong software architecture knowledge, Java/Python/C#, and a proactive approach to cybersecurity and governance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in CS/IT or related field; relevant experience in product or infrastructure development in financial services is advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of payment technologies, architectures, and APIs; experience with scalable financial systems is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Analyse and review payment system architectures for scalability, security and performance.
• Identify technical risks and work with policy teams to develop governance frameworks for domestic and cross-border payment rails.
• Collaborate with financial institutions and regulators to expand cross-border payments connectivity.
• Stay informed on emerging payments tech to propose innovative connectivity solutions.
