Job summary

Tech Aalto Pte Ltd in Singapore seeks a capable Business Analyst to drive payments projects. You will gather requirements with business, operations and system interfaces, and translate them into functional specifications.

Responsibilities include creating workflows and use cases, contributing to RTM, reviewing artefacts with vendors, and providing SIT/UAT support to ensure on‑time delivery and successful implementation.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to gather requirements from business, operations and interfaces.
• Strong understanding of payments domain, including cross-border payments.
• Experience creating functional specs and RTM artifacts.
• Knowledge of SWIFT MT/MX, ISO20022, and GPI requirements is preferred.
• Experience with data mapping and interface technologies.

Description:

• Requirements gathering with business, operations & other system interfaces


• Perform system/functional analysis to facilitate the functional requirements document (FRS)


• Creation of operational workflows, and use cases diagrams


• Contribute towards the relevant sections of the Requirements Traceability Matrix (RTM)


• Provide viable solutions that improve operational efficiency, user experience, and delivers business initiatives


• Review and sign-off the artefacts and solutions produced by the technical teams and vendor


• Provide SIT, UAT, regression, performance testing and rehearsal testing support


• To ensure successful implementation of solution on schedule


• Engage vendors, other application/project teams for new payments platform development


• Contribute towards the end‑to‑end solutioning for new business products/offerings


• To share expertise by providing training and knowledge sharing sessions


• Support post production issues and provide necessary guidance to BAU teams

Primary Skillset (must have):

1. Strong analytical skills and attention to details


2. Strong verbal and written communication skills


3. Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills


4. Able to work independently as well as within a team to tackle issues & identify solutions in a timely manner


5. In depth experience in Payments, Cash Mgmt and Transaction Banking projects


6. Good Technical & Operational understanding of Payments & Collections/Receivables (Cross-border TT, RTGS, ACH Bulk Payments, Direct Debit, Internal Transfer, Instant/FAST payments, Virtual Account, etc)


7. Must be able to explain Serial vs Cover method of SWIFT payment and familiar with various APAC Domestic payment infrastructures


8. Actively participated and implemented Payment transformation projects as a functional BA


9. Hands‑on experience with data/interface mapping and interface technologies/terminology


10. Proficient with SWIFT MT & MX, CBPR+ ISO20022 Standards and GPI requirements

Secondary Skillset (good to have):

1. Sound knowledge of Core Banking functionality, General Ledger posting, Pymt FX processing, STP efficiency, AML requirements, Reconciliation and Cashflow.


2. Good knowledge of regional regulatory requirements and payments related risk controls and governance


3. Experience in Supply Chain Finance, Trade Finance, cheques and Loans processing


4. Strong operations and/or Testing background
