Job summary

DAY ONE PTE. LTD. is hiring a bakery assistant to support the pastry team in preparation and presentation. You will help execute and maintain recipes, ensure correct handling and temperatures of all ingredients, and keep equipment safe and clean.

We are looking for someone with a passion for baking, able to work independently in a fast-paced environment, and with a food hygiene certificate being an advantage. No strong experience required—willing to learn and grow with the team.

Qualifications

At least 1 year of relevant experience.
No experience applicants are welcome to apply.
Willing to learn and have a strong passion for baking.
Able to work independently with minimum supervision.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
A valid food hygiene certificate will be an advantage.

Responsibilities

Assist the bakery team in the preparation of pastry.
Execute and maintain consistent recipes and presentation.
Follow proper handling and right temperature of food products.
Handle equipment in a safe and proper manner.
Maintain workstations are clean and tidy with proper hygiene.
Minimize the wastage and spoilage of ingredients.
Ensure proper hygiene practices in accordance with food & beverage safety and hygiene standards.
Any other duties assigned by the manager.
