Job summary

Si Ling Primary School seeks an experienced after-school counsellor to supervise the drop-in centre, provide counselling and mentoring to students with high support needs, and support their behavioural, emotional and learning development. You will track progress and report to school leaders.

Requirements include MOE registration by the ITQ closing date, at least two years with at-risk youths, and prior primary school experience. Degree preferred; mediation or AMIS credentials are a plus.

Qualifications

• MOE registration by ITQ closing date.
• At least two years working directly with at-risk children or youths.
• Primary school experience supporting student development.
• Degree preferred; mediator status or AMIS instructor certification optional.
• Experience running conflict resolution workshops and maintaining progress records.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the after-school drop-in centre and provide counselling, mentoring and guidance to students with high support needs.
• Track attendance and progress; share observations with the core team and form teachers.
• Plan, deliver and review mentoring sessions with group activities to build communication and resilience.
• Run Homework Support Club and facilitate individual or small-group activities as needed.
• Conduct weekly conflict resolution clinics and train peer mediators.
• Lead staff workshops to support students and arrange alternative delivery if in-person activities are suspended.
