Application Deadline

The Global Fintech Institute (GFI) is seeking a Partnerships & Marketing Associate to support and scale our growth engine across marketing, content, and partnerships. This is not a “learn and assist” role. It is an execution role in a fast-moving environment where priorities shift, timelines are tight, and follow-through matters.

You will work directly with the Head of Partnerships & Marketing, which means high exposure, but also high expectations. If you need structured instructions and clearly defined scopes every day, this is not for you. If you want to build real partnerships, execute marketing campaigns, and take ownership of outcomes, keep reading.

The Mission

Support and scale GFI’s growth engine across marketing, content, and partnerships.

This role is marketing-first, partnerships-second — you will drive how GFI shows up publicly, while supporting the expansion of its global ecosystem.

What You’ll Own
Marketing & Content Execution (Primary Focus)

You will take ownership of GFI’s day-to-day marketing output.

  • Draft and schedule LinkedIn posts aligned with GFI’s voice — sharp, clear, and insight-driven
  • Write EDMs, event invites, speaker features, and campaign copy with minimal fluff
  • Create visual assets in Canva, including event banners, carousels, and recap posts
  • Edit short-form videos such as event clips, speaker highlights, and reels
  • Ensure consistent, high-quality output across all channels — not just volume, but signal
Event & Campaign Marketing (Where Visibility Is Built)

You will support and execute marketing for GFI’s webinars, roundtables, and flagship initiatives.

  • Coordinate with speakers for bios, photos, and approvals
  • Set up and manage event pages (e.g. Luma), including content and visuals
  • Support live content capture and posting during events
  • Drive post-event recaps, highlights, and follow-ups

You are responsible for ensuring every event is amplified, not just executed.

Partnership & Outreach Support (Execution, Not Theory)

You will support the Head of Partnerships in scaling GFI’s ecosystem.

  • Assist with outreach via email and LinkedIn to potential partners
  • Prepare and tailor decks, proposals, and partnership materials
  • Track conversations, follow-ups, and pipeline progress in Notion, Airtable, or CRM systems
  • Coordinate MoU signings, onboarding, and partner deliverables

You are expected to maintain momentum and ensure nothing stalls.

Partnership Operations & Ecosystem Coordination

You will help bring structure to partnerships as they scale.

  • Maintain accurate records of MoUs, corporate memberships, and benefits delivered
  • Support tracking of partnership KPIs and monthly updates
  • Coordinate co-marketing efforts, partner visibility, and event collaborations
  • Conduct research on potential partners and recommend suitable engagement models

You ensure partnerships are not just signed — but activated and delivered.

You will be the operational backbone across marketing and partnerships.

  • Track tasks, timelines, and follow-ups across multiple workstreams
  • Maintain content calendars and campaign timelines in Notion
  • Ensure internal and external stakeholders are aligned and updated
  • Surface blockers early and push for resolution

You don’t wait for reminders. You close loops.

What Success Looks Like
In 30 Days
  • You understand GFI’s voice, content flow, and partnership pipeline
  • You are executing content, supporting outreach, and managing coordination
  • You’ve taken ownership of tracking systems and basic workflows
In 60 Days
  • Marketing output is consistent, on-brand, and improving in engagement
  • You are independently managing campaign execution and event marketing
  • Partnership follow-ups and pipeline tracking are structured and reliable
In 90 Days
  • You are driving marketing execution with minimal supervision
  • Partnership conversations move faster because of your follow-through
  • GFI’s visibility, consistency, and execution quality are noticeably stronger
You Are This Person If…
  • You are proactive and take ownership without waiting to be told
  • You are comfortable with ambiguity and can figure things out quickly
  • You can manage multiple priorities without dropping details
  • You communicate clearly and follow up consistently
  • You care about outcomes, not just completing tasks
Requirements
  • CFtA / CFtP preferred
  • 1–3 years of experience in marketing, partnerships, business development, or related roles (internship experience included)
  • Strong writing skills with a clear sense of tone and structure
  • Familiarity with tools such as Canva, Notion, Google Slides, and LinkedIn
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, on-site startup environment (BYOD required)
Bonus
  • Video editing skills (CapCut, Premiere, or equivalent)
  • Experience with CRM or marketing tools (e.g. HubSpot)
  • Experience supporting events, webinars, or community initiatives
This Role Is Not for You If…
  • You need step-by-step instructions for everything
  • You avoid follow-ups or uncomfortable conversations
  • You struggle with managing multiple priorities
  • You equate “being busy” with “making impact”
