Job summary

MIJ HUB LTD. operates Komunal Cafe in Singapore and is seeking a passionate Part-Time Barista to join the team. You will prepare a range of beverages, assist customers with the menu, and suggest drinks based on preferences while ensuring a smooth service flow.

Ideal candidates enjoy coffee, connect with people, and thrive in a welcoming cafe environment. Training will be provided, and weekend shifts are expected.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service mindset and ability to engage with guests.
• Good understanding of brewing equipment and cafe beverages.
• Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work well in a team and support colleagues.
• Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate knowledge of all cafe offerings and beverages.
• Prepare beverages and food items to cafe standards with consistency.
• Build customer relationships to enhance the cafe experience.
• Recommend menu items or seasonal offerings based on preferences.
• Maintain cleanliness, organisation and hygiene of the cafe and workstations.
• Perform regular maintenance and care of coffee machines and equipment.
• Manage cafe inventory, including stock checks and deliveries.
• Operate the POS system and handle transactions efficiently.
• Collaborate with team to ensure smooth cafe operations and share ideas.
• Support cafe operations across roles as needed by management.
• Uphold consistency and quality in every cup of coffee served.
• Have foundational knowledge of coffee origins, grind sizes, brewing methods and latte art pouring.
