Job summary

RAPID RECRUITMENT ASIA PTE. LTD. in Singapore seeks a Product Development/Process Engineer to lead new product development from concept through qualification.

You will oversee testing, material qualification, and supplier onboarding while driving sustainable packaging initiatives and collaborating with cross-functional teams. The role requires 5+ years in product development or process engineering, with strong knowledge of coating, lamination and printing processes, and experience supervising

Qualifications

• Degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Polymer Science, Chemistry or related field.
• Minimum 5 years in Product Development or Process Engineering.
• Strong knowledge of film, coating, lamination and printing processes.
• Experience with BOMs, technical drawings, control plans and process routings.
• Experience in team supervision, KPI management and operations.
• Strong communication, leadership and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead new product and process development projects from concept to qualification.
• Develop testing protocols, quality checkpoints and control plans.
• Source and qualify new materials, suppliers and production lines.
• Drive sustainable packaging initiatives such as PFAS-free, recyclable and mono-material solutions.
• Supervise and mentor Product Development Engineers.
• Support departmental operations, KPIs, budgets and continuous improvement.
• Ensure compliance with relevant food-contact packaging and quality standards.
• Work closely with customers, Production, Supply Chain and other departments.
• Support digitalisation and adoption of AI/business solutions.

Support the Product Development Manager in leading new product and process development, from concept to final qualification. The role focuses on packaging materials, process improvement, sustainability and collaboration with customers and internal teams.
