Job summary

General Reinsrance AG, Singapore Branch, is seeking a Property & Casualty Treaty Intern to support the Asia Pacific Treaty Property & Casalty team in Singapore. You will assist in underwriting, wordings review, and market research while developing technical and analytical skills.

The role requires an undergraduate in actuarial sciences or related fields, strong English, and the ability to work both independently and within a team.

Qualifications

• Undergrad student in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related quantitative field.
• Available mid-Oct to end-Jan for at least two full days per week; full-time during school holidays preferred.
• Strong command of English (written and spoken).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work independently as well as in a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist in underwriting property and casualty treaties, including proportional and excess of loss business.
• Review and verify treaty wordings, terms and conditions.
• Maintain and update underwriting files and databases.
• Assist in market research and analysis on large property exposures and catastrophe risks.
• Provide support on ad-hoc assignments.
