Role Overview

As a Trader on the Trading Solutions team, you will contribute to the growth of the trading business at Anchorage Digital by facilitating the hedging needs of client flows, ensuring best‑in‑class service, and managing risk exposures within the company’s risk appetite. You will be responsible for responsiveness and attention to detail in all client and market interactions and for improving the trading offering through tooling and technical investments. Your front‑line input will help prioritize product features that grow our market share.

Technical Skills

• Expertise in handling complex trades with continuous optimization, measuring and understanding every basis point to increase revenue while staying within risk guardrails.
• Deep knowledge of crypto market microstructure, identifying profitable price gaps and protecting the desk from volatility and aggressive automated traders.
• Experience with electronic and voice trading, and the ability to influence technology improvements inspired by mature traditional finance practices.
• Strong client‑facing abilities that build confidence through excellent service and encourage clients to increase Anchorage’s share of wallet.
• Comfortable working with Python to automate tasks and modify existing code to meet evolving desk needs.

Complexity and Impact of Work

• Lead trading exposure management infrastructure, including building and optimizing pricing, risk models, and governance controls.
• Drive automation initiatives so traders can focus on complex trades, projects, and client engagement.
• Follow market narratives and contribute to internal research efforts that enhance client engagement.
• Help shape new products and capabilities that meet overall client needs.
• Provide immediate coverage for changing exposures, client questions, and requests, including weekend and off‑hour rotations.

Organizational Knowledge

• Understand the role of Trading within the firm’s broader strategy and contribute to the technology roadmap.
• Recognize upstream and downstream impacts of process changes and proactively communicate ideas and concerns as the business scales.
• Share knowledge across stakeholder teams to avoid creating single points of failure.

Communication and Influence

• Stay current on market themes that drive prices and liquidity to deepen client interactions and execution strategies.
• Advocate for the Trading Solutions team in cross‑department conversations and with existing clients.
• Act as a mentor to junior team members, empowering them to master existing processes and collaborate on enhancements.
