Job Overview

• As Senior Trader of OTC Derivatives at Anchorage, you will bring your deep expertise in trading derivatives (including options, forwards, and structured products) across digital and traditional asset classes to help build and scale a best-in-class trading platform. You will play a key role in executing client business, managing risk, and developing the derivatives trading franchise.

Fit

• Deep experience from traditional and crypto sell‑side trading environments, strong foundation in derivatives trading and market structure.
• Must be based in the Western Hemisphere, but not in the US or Canada.
• Work hours primarily align with Western Hemisphere time zones.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive trading strategies for digital asset derivatives, adapting proven strategies to digital assets and aligning with Anchorage’s long‑term goals.
• Drive P&L growth while maintaining disciplined risk management practices.
• Lead and expand OTC derivatives operations; build trading infrastructure, develop models, and create durable processes.
• Execute and optimize trading strategies and portfolio decisions, improving execution efficiency with advanced quantitative models and analytics.
• Guide and mentor junior traders, fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing.
• Utilize market dynamics to navigate complex environments, applying quantitative skills to analyze market signals and drive strategies.
• Implement and maintain effective risk management, ensuring trading stays within risk parameters while balancing risk and return.

Must Haves

• 7+ years experience as a derivatives trader (options, forwards, structured products); strong track record, valuing prior bulge‑bracket bank experience.
• Deep market knowledge of derivatives and ability to apply to digital assets, understanding crypto market flows and motivations.
• Advanced quantitative and analytical capabilities, proficiency in modeling and data analysis using Python, R or other languages.
• Leadership experience mentoring junior traders, fostering continuous learning; collaborative team player with ownership and accountability.
• Strong risk appetite and expertise in risk management, identifying, assessing, mitigating risks across various trading strategies; able to maintain composure under pressure.
