Job summary

Flowdesk is seeking a hands-on Rust engineer to join our OTC Tech team in Singapore. You will own the systems behind our derivatives trading, implementing pricing and risk logic and collaborating with traders to translate requirements into production features.

The role emphasizes ownership and practical engineering over research, with opportunities to touch front-end work in TypeScript and to contribute across the stack.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience in a comparable role.
• Strong Rust proficiency for building OTC derivatives systems.
• Hands-on experience with options or derivatives systems and pricing/risk/quoting.
• Quantitative grounding to read and implement pricing and risk models.
• Experience building production systems in high-stakes environments.
• Ability to collaborate with traders and translate requests into requirements.

Responsibilities

• Build, maintain and extend OTC derivatives trading systems in Rust.
• Implement pricing, risk and quoting logic as designed by quants and researchers.
• Own quant-heavy libraries, making them safer and easier to evolve.
• Work with traders to turn requirements into shipped features, including some front-end work in TypeScript.
