Job summary

QCP in Singapore is seeking a software engineer to build and maintain components of our trading systems, spanning execution, order management, market data, and risk analytics. You will work with traders, quants, and portfolio managers to turn requirements into reliable, production-ready code.

You should be proficient in Java, Python, C#, or Rust, comfortable in Linux, and eager to collaborate in a fast-paced environment with daily deployments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in CS/Math/Engineering/Financial Engineering, graduating soon or with up to two years of experience.
• Strong programming ability in Java, Python, C# or Rust.
• Strong understanding of data structures and algorithms.
• Working grasp of threading models and concurrency.
• Evidence you can build and finish projects (internships, open-source, coursework, or personal projects).
• Interest in agentic development and working alongside AI coding agents.
• Interest in trading and financial markets.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-moving environment.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain components of trading systems and supporting infrastructure across execution, order management, exchange connectivity, market data, pricing and risk, and backtesting.
• Work alongside traders, quants and portfolio managers to understand what they need and build it.
• Write high-quality, maintainable code and participate in thorough code reviews.
• Develop and debug software in a Linux environment.
• Help investigate and resolve production issues, with support from the wider team.
• Make good use of modern tooling, AI coding agents, and development practices.
• Collaborate with team members in a fast-paced environment with daily deployments.
• Take on additional engineering tasks as required by the team.
