Job summary

Amundi in Singapore seeks an experienced middle/back-office professional to manage OTC derivative trade processing, reconciliations, and lifecycle events. You will ensure accurate trade capture, confirmations, settlement, and collateral management while coordinating with custodians and fund accountants.

The role requires 7–8 years in a middle/back-office function with strong Excel/VBA skills and solid stakeholder communication. Regulatory filings support and KPI reporting are part of the duties.

Qualifications

  • 7–8 years of middle/back-office experience.
  • Strong understanding of OTC derivatives, especially swaps.
  • Experience with trade processing, confirmations and settlement workflows.
  • Experience with reconciliations of trades, cash and positions.
  • Analytical, proactive with multi-tasking ability under pressure.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Trade Processing: process OTC derivative trades from execution through confirmation and settlement.
  • Perform daily matching/pre-matching (cash, balances, confirmations, and SSIs) and resolve discrepancies with counterparties.
  • Ensure accurate trade capture, booking, matching, and confirmation of derivative trades.
  • Monitor trades throughout the trade lifecycle.
  • Oversee cashflows, coupons and corporate actions related to swaps and associated events.
  • Track lifecycle events: initiation, roll, unwind, nominal increase, etc.
  • Coordinate settlement instructions, manage pending issues and resolve settlement-related anomalies.
  • Handle collateral management and margin activities with counterparties.
  • Validate operations and models in internal tools including data quality, controls.
  • Investigate and upscale trade breaks, static data issues, and trade discrepancies.
  • Follow up on incidents, contribute to resolution and propose process improvements.
  • Maintain audit trails, support regulatory filings.
  • Projects include: IRS, asset swap, caps & floors, inflation swaps, swaptions, CC swaps, swap ETFs.
  • Perform reconciliations in ALTO for cash, securities, trades, positions and cash flows.
  • Daily/monthly reconciliations with Fund Accountant and custodians; report KPIs.
  • Coordinate audits/regulatory inspections and drive process improvements.

Job description

  • Trade processing and lifecycle management of OTC derivatives, including performance swaps used in synthetic ETFs.
  • Reconciliation, monitoring and control frameworks for clients’ assets.

Key Responsibilities

Trade Processing:

  • Process OTC derivative trades from execution through confirmation and settlement.
  • Perform daily matching/pre-matching (cash, balances, confirmations, and SSIs) and resolve discrepancies with counterparties.
  • Ensure accurate trade capture, booking, matching, and confirmation of derivative trades.
  • Monitor trades throughout the trade lifecycle.
  • Oversee cashflows, coupons and corporate actions related to swaps and associated events.
  • Track and manage lifecycle events: initiation, roll, unwind, nominal increase, etc.
  • Coordinate settlement instructions, manage pending issues and resolve settlement-related anomalies, including cash discrepancies and settlement issues.

  • Investigate and upscale trade breaks, static data issues, and trade discrepancies where needed.

  • Maintain accurate records and audit trails for all processed trades.
  • Support regulatory filings.
  • Products covered : IRS, asset swap, caps & floors, inflation swaps, swaptions, CC swaps and swap ETFs.
  • Perform daily and monthly reconciliations in ALTO covering cash, securities, OTC derivative trades, positions and cash flows against custodian records.
  • Perform daily reconciliation between the futures clearer and ALTO and instruct margin movements.
  • Perform account reconciliations with Fund Accountant on a daily and monthly basis.
  • Follow up with custodians and the Fund Accountant on outstanding matters through to resolution.
  • Provide reports to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Maintain and update KPIs and middle office procedures/workflows.
  • Manage process improvements and automation opportunities.
  • Support regulatory filings.
  • Coordinate audits and regulatory inspections.
  • Project management.
Level of minimal experience

6-10 years

Experience

7-8 years’ relevant working experience in middle/back-office function.

Required skills
  • Strong understanding of OTC derivatives, especially swaps.
  • Experience with trade processing, confirmations and settlement workflows.
  • Experience with reconciliations of trades, cash and positions.
  • Independent and proactive, with the ability to multi-task and work under pressure, self-directed learner with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong technical skills in Excel, VBA macros and AI tools will be a significant advantage.
