Job summary

WELEAD SOLUTIONS PRIVATE LIMITED is seeking a dedicated optometrist to perform comprehensive eye examinations using advanced optical equipment, assess refraction needs, and maintain meticulous patient records in line with clinical protocols.

You will support clinical staff during diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, champion patient safety and comfort, stay up-to-date with optical products and industry best practices, and provide clear explanations to patients about conditions and treatments.

Qualifications

• Must possess PC with Optometrists and Opticians Board (OOB)
• Experience in optical dispensing and patient care within a healthcare setting
• Proficient with refractive equipment such as refraction units, autorefractors, and lensometers
• Good knowledge of optical principles, lens types, and refractive errors
• Excellent communication skills to explain complex optical concepts to patients
• Meticulous record-keeping and dispensing
• Team player with ability to manage independent patient consultations
• Commitment to continuous professional development and keeping up-to-date with optical advancements
• Patient-centric approach with empathy and professionalism
• Experience with electronic health record systems and practice management software is advantageous

Requirements

• Possesses valid Practising Certificate (PC) with Optometrists and Opticians Board (OOB)


• Prior work experience in optical dispensing and patient care within a healthcare setting


• Verse in operating optical equipment, including refraction units, autorefractors, and lensometers


• Good knowledge of optical principles, lens types, and refractive errors


• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex optical concepts to patients in an accessible manner


• Meticulous and accurate in dispensing and record-keeping


• Excellent team player whilst managing independent patient consultations


• Continuous professional development and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of optical advancements
