Job summary

International Eye Cataract Retina Centre Pte. Ltd. in Singapore seeks a motivated optometrist to join our eye care team.

You will perform comprehensive eye tests, document patient histories, and collaborate with ophthalmologists to ensure smooth clinic operations and outstanding patient care. Qualifications

• Experience in a clinical setting, with ophthalmology or eye care preferred.
• New Polytechnic graduates are welcome as training will be provided.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to educate and comfort patients.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient assessments including vision tests and history reviews.
• Assist ophthalmologists during minor surgeries and procedures.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate optometrist to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in providing top-quality eye care services to our patients. The optometrist will work closely with ophthalmologists and other healthcare professionals, ensuring the smooth operation of our clinic and the delivery of exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Patient Assessment and Care: Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history reviews, vision and specialised eye tests, and pre-operative evaluations.
• Assist with Procedures: Prepare patients for minor eye surgeries and procedures, ensuring they are comfortable and well-informed. Assist ophthalmologists during minor surgeries and other medical procedures.
• Medication Administration: Administer prescribed medications and eye drops, monitoring patients for any adverse reactions.
• Patient Education: Educate patients and their families about eye health, post-operative care, and the proper use of medications and eye care products.
• Equipment Maintenance: Ensure all ophthalmic equipment and instruments are properly sterilized, maintained, and calibrated.
• Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, documenting all treatments, procedures, and medications administered.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Experience in a clinical setting, with a focus on ophthalmology or eye care, is an advantage. Those without clinic experience will be given on-the-job training. New Polytechnic graduates are very welcome to apply as training will be provided.
• Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to educate and comfort patients. Strong attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
