EDMUND OPTICS SINGAPORE PTE. LTD. is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to drive development and continuous improvement of precision optics manufacturing processes, ensuring safe, efficient, and scalable production while meeting targets for quality and safety.

The role requires hands-on process engineering experience in a manufacturing environment, collaboration with QA and production teams, and mentoring technicians while specifying new equipment and tooling to support operational excellence.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Optics, Physics, Industrial, Mechanical Engineering or related field.
Minimum 3 years of process engineering experience in manufacturing, preferably with precision optics.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement efficient manufacturing processes from concept to production.
Collaborate with QA and production teams to ensure quality and resolve customer issues.
Support quotations with technical assessments and cost estimates.
Lead First Article projects including tooling design and process troubleshooting.
Drive continuous improvement using DFMEA/PFMEA and lean practices.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to technicians.
Specify and evaluate new equipment, tooling, and fixtures.
