Job summary

HRnet Ventures Pte Ltd – CREW by HRnet is seeking a hands-on testing engineer to join the West-based optical and semiconductor equipment team. You will conduct performance testing and reliability verification on R&D prototypes, develop test plans, and establish test environments to validate key KPIs.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in a related engineering field and at least 3 years of testing experience.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or higher in a related engineering field.
At least 3 years of testing and verification experience.
Familiarity with optical testing instruments and statistics for data analysis.
Ability to develop test plans and documentation.
Experience with Python or MATLAB scripting is advantageous.
Experience with silicon photonic chip or optical module testing is advantageous.

Responsibilities

Conduct performance testing and reliability verification of R&D prototypes, including optical, electrical, motion accuracy and environmental adaptability testing.
Develop test plans, establish test environments and validate key performance indicators for optoelectronic die testing equipment.
Perform calibration and verification of critical parameters, including coupling accuracy, test repeatability, bit error rate and testing efficiency.
Analyse test data, prepare technical reports, identify performance bottlenecks and design defects, and drive corrective actions and design improvements.
Establish product testing specifications, develop automated test scripts and enhance testing efficiency and coverage.
Support the Malaysia team in setting up mass production testing procedures and developing standardised test specifications and SOPs.
