Job summary
Optrotech Pte. Ltd. is seeking a Technical Coating Manager to lead optics back-end processes in Melaka, with frequent travel to China and collaboration with Malaysia/China teams. The role reports to the COO at Singapore HQ and focuses on continuous improvement to boost quality, delivery, and profitability.
The candidate will manage engineering and production teams, drive coating capability upgrades, and develop a highly capable coatings team to meet customer specs and business goals.
Qualifications
- Minimum 7 years of experience in optical coatings or related field.
- Experience supporting coating operations across Malaysia and China factories.
- Proven track record leading coating operations and teams for excellence.
Responsibilities
- Drive improvement of optical coating design and processes across Malaysia and China factories.
- Develop strategies to increase sales and profitability via enhanced coating capabilities.
- Build and develop a skilled optics coating team meeting customer and company needs.
- Implement training and mentorship to enhance technical competence and efficiency.
- Lead engineering and production teams for optics back-end processes (USC, Coating Prep, Coating).
