Job summary

AIA Shared Services in Singapore is seeking an Ops Risk Specialist/Analyst to strengthen operational risk management, governance, and controls across Tied Distribution Operations. The role partners with business stakeholders to identify and mitigate risks, support regulatory compliance, coordinate audits, and drive process improvements.

You will work with Compliance, Risk Management and Internal Audit to ensure effective risk governance, engaging across functions and delivering risk reporting

Qualifications

• Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Risk Management or related discipline.
• 4-6 years of experience in operational risk, audit, compliance, internal controls or governance within financial services.
• Strong understanding of risk management principles and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent analytical, stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience with Excel, Power BI or data analysis tools would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Partnering with business teams to assess operational risks, evaluate controls and recommend improvements.
• Coordinating audits, regulatory reviews and compliance-related activities, including tracking remediation actions to closure.
• Supporting development, review and enhancement of operational procedures, controls documentation and governance standards.
• Monitoring regulatory developments and advising stakeholders on implications and implementation actions.
• Preparing risk and governance reporting for management committees and key stakeholders.
• Driving risk awareness through stakeholder engagement, training and communication initiatives.
