Job summary

Singapore National Eye Centre is seeking a Registered Nurse to support ophthalmic procedures and perioperative care in a fast-paced hospital setting.

You will coordinate surgical instruments, assist anesthesia, scrub, circulate and recover patients, and maintain infection control standards. Proficiency with Sunrise Clinical Manager is a plus.

On-call, weekend shifts and overtime may be required, contributing to safe patient care and ongoing clinical improvements.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Nursing is required.
• Registered Nurse with Singapore Nursing Board.
• Thrive in fast-paced environment.

• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• On-call duty on weekdays, weekends and public holidays.
• Able to work overtime during high patient volumes.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of nursing, ophthalmic procedures and safety compliances as per guidelines.
• Coordinate and prepare surgical equipment, instruments and consumables for daily lists and surgeon preferences.
• Assist in safe anaesthetic care for general, regional and deep sedation.
• Scrub, circulate and recovery duties.
• Provide pre- and post-operative patient care.
• Maintain housekeeping per Infection Control Standards.
• Update workflows in Sunrise Clinical Manager.
• Conduct inventory checks on medications and consumables as per guidelines.
• Timely escalation and submission of Incident Reporting Form to Nurse Clinician/Senior Nurse Manager.
