Job summary

West Pharmaceutical Services seeks a Lean Management professional to deploy lean initiatives at our Singapore site and drive continuous improvement to meet plant objectives.

The role requires 3–5 years in Lean/Six Sigma within manufacturing, with strong data analysis and reporting skills. Proficiency in Excel, Power BI, and SAP is preferred, and a Lean/Six Sigma Green Belt is an advantage.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical discipline.
• 3–5 years of Lean Management or Six Sigma experience in manufacturing or highly regulated environment.
• Foundational knowledge of Lean/Six Sigma methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement lean deployment and continuous improvements (Kaizen, DMAIC, VSM, 5S, SMED).
• Develop and maintain dashboards (Power BI/Excel) to track KPIs and performance.
• Collaborate with Automation and Digital teams to improve data visibility and reporting efficiency.
• Lead cross-functional teams in cost-saving initiatives and root-cause analysis.
• Ensure Lean standards are followed and process documentation is maintained.

Job Summary

In this role, the position holder will take responsibility to deploy and execute lean management and continuous improvement initiatives at the Singapore site and in achieving the plant's objectives.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Plan and implement lean deployment & structured continuous improvements (e.g., Kaizen, DMAIC, VSM, 5S, SMED), monitor to track progress and ensure sustainability of results.
• Provide technical advice and analytical support for site‑level projects and solutions through facilitation of workshops using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
• Develop and maintain dashboards (Power BI / Excel) to track KPIs and operational performance, to analyze and identify improvement opportunities.
• Collaborate with Automation, Digital & Technology stakeholders to implement digitalization, including data visibility enhancement and reporting efficiency.
• Promote Lean culture and continuous improvement mindset within operational teams.
• Support and lead cross‑functional teams in cost‑saving activities, root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions.
• Meet auditor requirements by ensuring Lean standards execution and ensuring Lean process flow documentation are properly maintained.
• Verify and validate new lean process concepts and measure post‑implementation results (e.g., cell manufacturing).
• Other tasks assigned by the manager.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical discipline.

Work Experience

• 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in Lean Management or Six Sigma in a manufacturing or highly regulated environment.
• Foundational knowledge of Lean/Six Sigma methodologies.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

• Certification in Lean or Six Sigma (Green Belt preferred).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced functions, pivot tables, data modeling), Power BI or equivalent visualization tools, SAP (basic functional knowledge).
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Good understanding of process mapping and statistical analysis tools.
• Digital mindset with interest in automation and data‑driven decision making.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across functions.
• Structured, disciplined, and results‑oriented.
• Good planning and organizational skills.

Travel Requirements

10%: Up to 26 business days per year
