Job summary

Chevron Corporation in Singapore is seeking an Operations Technician to ensure safe and reliable plant operations and to support field and DCS activities. The role requires a 12-hour rotating shift pattern and adherence to LOTO procedures while coordinating with Technical and Maintenance teams.

You will be responsible for maintaining safe operation of equipment, monitoring processes, and following established procedures, with opportunities to participate in emergency drills and start-up/shutdown

Qualifications

  • Diploma in Engineering or Manufacturing or Science / NITEC / “O” Levels.
  • 2 to 6 years of relevant work experience
  • Strong commitment to operational excellence and safety requirements
  • Able to work independently and in a team, with effective written and verbal communication

Responsibilities

  • Follow the Operations Technicians program and quality standards.
  • Ensure safe and reliable operation of plant equipment and pipelines.
  • Perform structured rotational duties and monitor processes (DCS) and field maintenance.
  • Maintain safe operations within established operating limits.
  • Troubleshoot and take corrective actions with Technical and Maintenance teams.
  • Perform unit start-up, shutdown, and turnaround activities at field and DCS console.
  • Prepare Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) documentation and execute at Field for repairs.
  • Perform first-line maintenance on Operations Led Activities.
  • Update and follow operating procedures for safe plant operation.
  • Participate in Emergency Response Team (ERT) roles during drills.

Job description

Responsibilities
  • Follow the Operations Technicians program and quality to be an Operations Technicians.
  • Ensure safe and reliable operation of the plant, equipment (reactor, heat exchanger. filter, heater, boiler, incinerator, tank, pump), pipeline network and jetty facility.
  • Perform structured rotational duties within the operating Unit to control and monitor operating processes and parameters (DCS Console), maintenance and project activities (Field).
  • Maintain safe and reliable operations of the plant equipment and operations within established operating limits.
  • Perform troubleshooting and take corrective actions to resolve operational issues and provide communication and support to Technical and Maintenance teams.
  • Perform unit start-up, shutdown, turnaround activities at field and DCS console.
  • Prepare Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) documentation and execute at Field for repair or maintenance of equipment / systems.
  • Perform first line maintenance on Operations Led Activities within operational control.
  • Update and follow operating procedures for safe plant operation.
  • Perform Emergency Response Team (ERT) roles and responsibilities as required during plant emergency and drills.
Required Qualifications
  • Diploma in Engineering or Manufacturing or Science / NITEC / “O” Levels

  • Strong commitment and desire to ensure operational excellence and meet safety requirements.
  • Able to work independently and in a team, as well as communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Must be prepared to work 12-hour rotating Shifts.
  • Willing to work in Jurong Island
Relocation Options

Relocation will not be considered within Chevron parameters.

International Considerations

Selected candidate will work in Singapore under the local payroll system and benefits. Chevron participates in E-Verify in certain locations as required by law.
