Job summary

Weishen Industrial Services Pte Ltd seeks a skilled terminal operator to conduct operations across jetty and loading facilities. You will follow work instructions and supervisor directions while upholding safety standards and operating complex systems like DCS, firefighting, wastewater and hot oil heating.

Responsibilities include coordinating with pilots, mooring crews and vessel personnel for safe berthing/unberthing, loading/unloading, and maintaining ship/shore safety checklists.

Qualifications

• Diploma or NITEC in Engineering/Science.
• Willingness to work 12-hour shifts.
• Safety-conscious with strong operational discipline.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot operational issues and support equipment preparation, commissioning, startup, shutdown, isolation and reinstatement for maintenance.
• Coordinate with pilots and mooring teams for safe vessel berthing and unberthing operations.
• Oversee loading/unloading of vessels, barges and trucks; coordinate with vessel personnel and complete ship/shore safety checklists.
• Reconcile ship/shore quantity differences and prepare shipping documents.
• Operate the terminal's DCS.
• Join the Company Emergency Response Team (CERT) and assist in incident investigations as required.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and support tank farm, jetty and other terminal operations as assigned by the supervisor.

About the role

Carry out terminal and jetty operations in accordance with approved work instructions and supervisors' directions, while complying with all safety requirements. Interpret relevant Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), perform system line-ups, and operate terminal facilities, including firefighting, wastewater, hot oil heating and utility systems.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in troubleshooting operational issues and participate in equipment preparation, commissioning, start-up, shutdown, isolation and reinstatement for maintenance

• Coordinate with pilots, mooring crews and mooring boat operators to ensure safe vessel berthing and unberthing operations

• Carry out vessel, barge and truck loading and unloading operations, including coordination with vessel personnel and completion of ship/shore safety checklists

• Reconcile ship/shore quantity differences and prepare relevant shipping documents

• Operate the terminals DCS

• Participate in emergency response activities as a member of the Company Emergency Response Team (CERT) and assist in incident investigations as required

• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and support tank farm, jetty and other terminal operational activities as assigned by the supervisor
