Job summary

SLNG - Singapore LNG Corporation Pte Ltd is seeking an Operations Owner Representative who will coordinate inputs from Operations and Projects & Development to ensure LNG terminal projects are safe to operate, operable, maintainable and fit-for-purpose with high quality.

You will manage interfaces, lead project execution from concept to handover, safeguard safety and reliability, provide progress reports to VP Operations, and develop resourcing plans with HR while coaching and developing team

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 8 years operations experience and 5 years as project manager for large projects (>$100M).
• Experience in LNG or cryogenic processes is beneficial.
• Good understanding of engineering, procurement and construction drivers and their conflicts.
• Familiarity with change management and technical integrity.
• Strong leadership and track record of handling complex tasks in a team context.
• Excellent planning, budgeting, forecasting, cost control and risk management skills.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate interfaces between Operations and Projects & Development from concept to handover.
• Ensure projects do not compromise safety or reliability of the Terminal.
• Provide regular progress reports to VP, Operations.
• Develop resourcing plans with Operations and HR for project delivery.

Job description

• As Operations Owner Representative, seek inputs from Operations team and work very closely with Projects & Development team to evaluate and ensure projects delivered are safe to operate, operable, maintainable, fit-for-purpose with good quality of work.
• Manage all interfaces between the Operations team and Projects & Development team for all projects from conceptual stage to final investment decision. Subsequently engineering, procurement and construction, until the project is completed and handed over to the Operations Team.
• Ensure all projects execution does not affect the safety and reliability of Terminal. Proactive identification, mitigation and management of all potential operations risk to safety and reliability of the Terminal operations.
• Provide regular, accurate and comprehensive project progress reports and seek alignment with VP, Operations.
• Work with respective Operations Managers to develop appropriate resourcing plans for Terminal’s management of all projects and work with Human Resources on recruiting/acquiring or demobilizing as necessary all required resources.
• Manage and coordinate all project activities with the Operations team supporting the projects.
• Provide leadership, coaching and development of all reports (If any).
• Establish and maintain a positive, proactive working environment that encourages teamwork in a spirit of openness, honesty and integrity.

REQUIREMENTS

• Degree in Engineering or equivalent
• Minimum 8 years operations experience and 5 years experience as project manager for the entire project phase of substantial ($>100 million) projects, preferably in the Chemical or Oil and Gas industry.
• Experience of LNG or other cryogenic processes would be beneficial.
• Good understanding of all engineering disciplines, procurement practices and construction drivers with the ability to make considered judgments to manage conflicts between them to deliver best project outcomes to meet operations needs.
• Understanding of management of change processes and their role in managing technical integrity.
• Leadership skills and track record of managing complex tasks in a team context.
• Motivated and goal-oriented, with the drive and commitment to deliver in line with targets.
• Excellent planning, organizational, budgeting, forecasting, cost and schedule control and risk management skills.
• Excellent communications and influencing skills, to all levels of management, authorities and other external stakeholders, and towards his/her team to motivate and align them with project goals.
