Job summary

Ideals Recruitment Pte Ltd is seeking a Senior Planning/Procurement professional for a manufacturing company located in Woodland, Singapore. The role focuses on day-to-day operations planning, materials availability, MRP analysis and cross-functional collaboration to ensure production readiness.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, plus 5+ years’ planning or procurement experience in manufacturing and strong exposure to MRP/ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management or a related field preferred
• Min 5 years of experience in planning or procurement within a manufacturing environment
• Experience with MRP/ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations planning, including material availability, production readiness, MRP demand and supply analysis.
• Review customer forecasts and orders to identify potential supply gaps, delivery risks, and recovery actions.
• Review and process material orders based on MRP recommendations and approved planning parameters.
• Liaise with Procurement and suppliers on forecasts, capacity, material availability, order status, expediting and rescheduling.
• Monitor inventory ageing, excess & obsolete inventory, expired lots and end-of-life (EOL) exposure.
• Monitor Work Order status and ensure timely closure for accurate WIP and inventory records.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Production, Procurement, Quality, Logistics, Engineering and Program Management teams to resolve operational constraints.
• Support cost reduction, PPV and material cost optimisation initiatives.
• Monitor BOM material pricing and highlight significant cost fluctuations to management.
• Ensure planning and purchasing activities comply with company SOPs, policies, approval requirements and applicable quality/regulatory standards.
• Drive continuous improvement in planning accuracy, inventory efficiency, supplier performance and operational effectiveness.
• Provide guidance, knowledge sharing and support to team members and participate in cross-training initiatives.
