Job summary

UMS PTE. LTD. is seeking a hands-on Operations leader to oversee production planning and execution, ensuring timely delivery, quality, and ERP accuracy.

You will coordinate planning across functions, manage bottlenecks, and drive cost and lead time improvements. Responsibilities include leading ERP initiatives (Epicor), coordinating with QA, suppliers, and customers, and providing accurate production data and status updates to stakeholders.

Oversees and coordinates production planning and execution to meet company goals, focusing on timely delivery, quality standards, and ERP accuracy.

Key responsibilities

• Manages work order planning and release, scheduling workflows across departments based on forecasts and lead times.
• Ensures on-time delivery of materials/products in line with customer specifications and cost targets, working closely with QA to meet quality standards.
• Identifies production bottlenecks and quality issues, driving continuous improvement and lead time reduction through lean initiatives and rework processes.
• Manages plant operations, resource allocation, and budget compliance while aiming for cost savings, inventory reduction, and favorable standard costing variances.
• Leads key initiatives including ERP (Epicor) implementation and risk management, while ensuring accurate production and inventory data in ERP.
• Acts as liaison between Operations, QA, suppliers and customers, handling escalations, order status updates, and production feedback.
• Expedites material flow from sub-tier suppliers, coordinates purchase orders, and ensures proper staging for assembly.
• Provides regular updates on project status, production issues, and customer concerns; ensures all Stakeholders are informed and aligned.
