Job summary

Reporting to the CEO, you will support fund accounting, payroll, vendor management, and MAS compliance while collaborating with the Investment Team on investor communications and subscription processing. The role requires fluency in English and Mandarin, with knowledge of VCC and Cayman fund structures and KYC/AML

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent experience in finance/business/related field.
• 2–4 years in fund administration, fund operations, investor relations operations, or wealth management back/middle-office.
• Experience with VCC and Cayman fund structures preferred.
• Strong understanding of accounting basics, payroll administration, and MAS CMS frameworks.

About the Role

LUCA Singapore is seeking a versatile, detail-oriented Client Operations Manager to serve as a critical bridge between back-office fund administration, regulatory compliance, and middle-office client servicing. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will support the Head of Operations on day-to-day fund accounting, payroll, vendor management, and MAS compliance, while actively collaborating with the Investment Team to manage investor communications, deal subscriptions, and post-investment reporting.

Key Responsibilities

1. Fund Operations, Accounting & Regulatory Compliance

• Fund Operations: Oversee operational workflows for VCC (Variable Capital Company) and Cayman Islands fund structures, including fund setup, capital calls, distributions, NAV reviews, and year-end audits, together with the external fund administrators and auditors.
• Financial & HR Admin: Liaise with external accountants on basic bookkeeping, cash flow monitoring, and quarterly financial statement reviews; coordinate monthly payroll and HR administration via external service providers.
• MAS & Compliance: Support the Head of Operations in ensuring company activities adhere to Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) regulations under the Capital Markets Services (CMS) license framework; assist with regulatory filings, compliance monitoring, and audit preparations.
• Vendor Management: Coordinate third-party relationships across corporate secretarial services, tax agents, auditors, legal counsel, and IT providers.

2. Investor Services & Investment Team Support

• Client Servicing: Act as a primary operational point of contact for investors, addressing client inquiries regarding investment performance, capital calls, distributions, and account statements.
• Deal Execution & Onboarding: Manage investor onboarding, KYC/AML documentation collection, and subscription/redemption processing in close coordination with the Investment Team and legal counsel.
• Reporting & Collateral: Work with the Investment Team to prepare and distribute quarterly investor reports, fund fact sheets, and performance updates.
• Administrative Support: Support the CEO, Head of Operations, and Investment Team with ad-hoc operational tasks, investor meeting coordination, and internal reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, business, or a related field. Relevant industry experience may be considered in place of a degree in these fields on a case-by-case basis.
• 2-4 years of experience in fund administration, fund operations, investor relations operations, or wealth management back/middle-office.
• Hands-on familiarity or working knowledge of VCC and Cayman fund structures.
• Fundamental understanding of basic accounting principles, payroll administration, and MAS CMS regulatory frameworks.
• Strong client-servicing etiquette with the ability to translate technical investment/operational details clearly to investors.
• High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to manage multi-stakeholder workflows across CEO, Operations, and Investment functions.
• Fluency in English and Mandarin (to liaise with regional Chinese-speaking clients and partners); proficiency in Japanese is an advantage.
