Position: Fund Finance & Operations Manager

Location: Singapore

Reporting To: CEO

Overview

Our client is seeking a hands-on Fund Accounting & Operations Manager to support the day-to-day financial, operational, and regulatory functions of the business. Reporting directly to the CEO, this individual will play a key role in ensuring smooth fund operations, maintaining regulatory compliance, overseeing financial reporting processes, and supporting business growth initiatives. The ideal candidate will come from a fund management, hedge fund, family office, VCC, or fund administration environment and possess a strong understanding of both finance and operational controls.

Ideal Candidate Profile

A well-rounded fund finance and operations professional who combines strong fund accounting knowledge with practical exposure to compliance, MAS regulatory reporting, AML/KYC processes, and day-to-day fund operations, while being comfortable operating in a lean environment and partnering directly with the CEO.

Key Responsibilities

Fund Finance & Accounting

• Oversee fund accounting activities, including NAV review, management fee calculations, investor reporting, and reconciliation processes.
• Coordinate with external fund administrators, auditors, tax advisors, and service providers to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
• Review financial statements, management accounts, and cash flow positions across fund structures and related entities.
• Support treasury and banking activities, including payment processing and cash management.

Regulatory & Compliance

• Support regulatory reporting requirements and liaise with external compliance providers where necessary.
• Ensure adherence to MAS regulations, internal policies, AML/KYC requirements, and investor onboarding standards.
• Assist in compliance monitoring, regulatory filings, audit preparations, and maintenance of governance documentation.
• Coordinate periodic reviews of operational and regulatory controls.

Fund Operations

• Manage day-to-day operational matters relating to fund subscriptions, redemptions, investor servicing, and fund administration.
• Act as the key liaison between investors, fund administrators, custodians, banks, legal counsel, and other external stakeholders.
• Support fund launches, new product implementation, and operational improvement initiatives.
• Establish and enhance operational processes, controls, and documentation to ensure scalability and efficiency.

Corporate & Administrative Support

• Oversee payroll administration and coordinate with external payroll providers.
• Support annual audits, tax filings, ACRA-related matters, and corporate governance requirements.
• Assist the CEO on strategic projects, business initiatives, and ad-hoc operational matters when required.

Key Qualities

• 5+ years of experience within fund accounting, fund finance, fund operations, or a related function within a fund management, hedge fund, family office, VCC, or fund administration environment.
• Strong understanding of fund structures, NAV processes, investor reporting, and operational workflows.
• Exposure to MAS regulatory requirements, AML/KYC processes, and compliance-related matters.
• Familiarity with financial reporting, audits, taxation, and corporate governance processes.
• Experience managing multiple stakeholders, including fund administrators, auditors, banks, legal counsel, and investors.
• Hands-on, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a lean and entrepreneurial environment.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to operate independently and work closely with senior management.
• Prior payroll administration experience is advantageous but not essential.
