Job summary

Cummins Asia Pacific is seeking an Operations Intern to support the Operations Excellence team in documenting processes during a major WMS transition. This onsite role focuses on process standardization, SOP/WI updates, and cross-functional coordination to drive efficiency and compliance.

You will assist in Kaizen and continuous improvement projects, map current and future-state warehouse processes, and analyze data to propose concrete improvements.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in supply chain, operations, or a related field.
• Strong documentation and data analysis skills.
• Interest in Lean, Kaizen, or continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Track documentation and process improvement action items.
• Prepare meeting minutes, project updates, and progress trackers.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams including Operations, Quality, IT, Materials, and Training.
• Review and update SOPs, WIs, process flows, and forms impacted by the WMS implementation.
• Ensure documentation is accurate, controlled, and aligned with new system requirements.
• Coordinate with process owners to gather information and validate documentation updates.
• Support document version control and central repository management.
• Assist in mapping current and future-state warehouse processes.
• Support identification of process gaps, improvement opportunities, and standardization initiatives.
• Participate in Kaizen, Lean, and continuous improvement projects.
• Collect and analyze operational data to support improvement recommendations.

We are looking for a talented Operations Intern to join our team in Pandan Ave, Singapore. This is an Onsite role. Internship period will be 6 months or longer, depend on Singapore college/universities session.

Support the Operations Excellence team in updating and standardizing operational documentation during the Warehouse Management System (WMS) transition and implementation. While providing support and assistance in process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, compliance, and operational effectiveness.

Additional Key Responsibilities

Project Coordination

• Track documentation and process improvement action items.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of Lean, Kaizen, 5S, or Continuous Improvement methodologies.
• Experience with process mapping tools is an advantage.
• Strong documentation skills, ensuring processes, procedures, and records are accurately captured and maintained.
