Job summary

Mep Engineering Services Singapore seeks a Strategic Operations and Project Management leader to oversee end-to-end MEP projects. You will direct operations across mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and ELV, align strategies with business goals, and drive efficiency and profitability through robust policies and best practices.

• Develop and implement operational strategies aligned with the company's business objectives.
• Lead and manage the overall operations of Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Protection, and ELV projects.
• Establish operational policies, procedures, and best practices to improve efficiency and profitability.
• Oversee multiple construction and MEP projects from tender award through completion and handover.
• Ensure projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and according to contractual requirements.
• Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation plans.
• Review project performance, resource allocation, and financial status.
• Plan manpower deployment across projects.
• Coordinate engineers, supervisors, technicians, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Optimize equipment, tools, and material utilization.
• Prepare operational budgets and cost forecasts.
• Monitor project profitability and control operational expenses.
• Review quotations, subcontract agreements, procurement, and variation orders.
• Support contract negotiations and commercial decision-making.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, main contractors, and government agencies.
• Attend project meetings and resolve operational issues.
• Ensure high customer satisfaction through timely project delivery.
• Ensure compliance with Singapore regulations, including BCA, MOM, SCDF, and Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) requirements.
• Implement Quality Management Systems and ensure compliance with project specifications.
• Conduct operational audits and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Promote a strong workplace safety culture.
• Ensure compliance with WSH regulations and company safety policies.
• Review incident investigations and implement corrective actions.
• Oversee procurement of materials and equipment.
• Evaluate supplier performance and negotiate contracts.
• Ensure timely delivery of project materials.
• Lead, mentor, and develop project managers, engineers, and operational staff.
• Set departmental KPIs and conduct performance evaluations.
• Drive employee engagement and capability development.
• Support tender preparation by providing technical and operational input.
• Identify opportunities for operational improvements and business growth.
• Participate in strategic planning and expansion initiatives.

Job description
