Job summary

VAJRA ENGINEERING SERVICES PTE. LTD. is seeking an operations professional to plan and schedule activities, monitor compliance, and communicate issues affecting productivity within our bus fleet operations in Singapore.

The role involves analyzing data, coordinating with departments, and assisting in efficiency improvements. Shifts include day/night, with standby 24/7, and compulsory work on public holidays and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Planning and scheduling work activities, taking into account the availability of resources and deadlines
• Monitoring activities to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements
• Communicating issues to management regarding any problems with vehicles or processes that may affect productivity
• Assisting in the development of new methods to improve efficiency or reduce costs
• Analyzing data to identify problems or trends that may require corrective action
• Conducting feasibility studies to determine whether new products or services are commercially viable
• Coordinating with other departments to ensure the smooth operation of business processes and projects
• Maintaining records of operational activities such as sales, inventory levels, staffing levels, or shipping activity
• Developing operational budgets based on projected sales volume or costs such as labor and material costs
• Shifting of buses for activities such as Preventive Maintenance, Corrective Maintenance or Bus Washing/ Cleaning, and
• Re-positioning of buses in he correct sequence for areas with block parking to ensure despatching process is not affected, including the support of “Find My Bus” system.
• Ensure we must hit above 98.5% Cleanliness level during MAR Audit by LTA
• Ensure all Buses are washed and wiped so that they are in line with cleanliness standards that is expected by Singapore's Transportation Authority (LTA)
• Handle operational issues as required.
• Be willing to work day or night shifts, depending on operational requirements.
• Complete all operational tasks assigned by the management.
• Manpower may be required to report to multiple locations as assigned by the management.
