Job summary

NTS Singapore is seeking a Buyer to manage procurement activities, supplier relationships, and material expediting while supporting demand and inventory planning to keep stock at optimal levels. You will ensure accurate MRP/ERP data and procurement compliance to support uninterrupted production.

You will collaborate with Planning, Customer Support, and Logistics to align demand with deliveries, develop reports (OTD, Push Outs, Pull Ins), and maintain data in the ERP system.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business admin, or related field.
• Experience with ERP systems (Navision, SAP, etc.).
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Self-motivated, able to work independently and in a team.
• Experience purchasing technical commodities like machining items is a plus.
• Manufacturing and planning background is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage supplier relationships, resolve issues, and monitor performance.
• Place purchase orders with approved suppliers and expedite materials.
• Develop and maintain reports on OTD, Push Outs, and Pull Ins.
• Ensure procurement activities comply with quality standards and regulatory requirements.

Job Description

As Buyer at NTS Singapore you are responsible for managing procurement activities, including supplier relationships, purchase orders, material expediting, and supplier performance. Supports demand and inventory planning to ensure optimal stock levels and uninterrupted production. Collaborates with Planning, Customer Support, and Logistics teams to align material supply with demand and delivery requirements. Ensures accurate MRP/ERP data and procurement compliance while monitoring key purchasing, inventory, and delivery performance metrics.

Furthermore, your key responsibilities are:

• Manage supplier relationships, resolve issues, and monitor supplier performance

• Place purchase orders with approved suppliers and expedite critical materials

• Develop and maintain supplier, purchasing, inventory, and planning reports, including OTD, Push Outs, and Pull Ins

• Ensure procurement activities comply with quality standards and regulatory requirements

• Develop demand and inventory planning strategies to optimize stock levels and minimize stockouts

• Collaborate with Planning, Customer Support, and Logistics teams to align demand, inventory, and timely material deliveries

• Maintain accurate material, supplier, and planning data in MRP/ERP systems and ensure adequate stock for production needs

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field

• Experienced in ERP system (Navision, SAP etc.)

• Strong communication and negotiation skills

• Positive attitude, self-motivated and able to work independently and as part of a team

• Experience in purchasing technical commodity like machining items/sheet metal parts will be an added advantage

• Strong Background in Manufacturing & Planning background
