Job summary

Cushman & Wakefield is seeking a hands-on Cleaning Supervisor to oversee on-site operations, supervise staff, and ensure top cleaning standards. You will coordinate schedules, conduct site inspections, and maintain inventory while liaising with clients to guarantee satisfaction.

The role requires leadership, communication, and a valid Class 3 driving license (advantage). A driver’s role with hands-on cleaning may be involved as needed, with opportunities for growth within the facilities

Qualifications

• Minimum Diploma in Facilities Management, Operations, Hospitality, or related fields.
• Experience in a cleaning company or cleaning services industry.
• Strong leadership and ability to supervise cleaning staff.
• Valid Class 3 driving license (advantage).

Responsibilities

• Review staff performance and adjust cleaning schedules for efficiency.
• Communicate with clients to understand needs and ensure satisfaction.
• Conduct daily site inspections and weekly night spot checks outside business hours.
• Provide support and guidance to cleaning supervisors.
• Manage cleaning consumables, inventory, and budget to minimize wastage.
• Assist Cleaning Manager with requests and tasks.
• Drive and maintain the company van safely.
• Assist with cleaning tasks or supervise hands-on cleaning as needed.

Job description

About the role:

• To oversee all cleaning operations on-site, ensuring that cleaning staff efficiently perform their duties and maintain the highest cleaning standards
• Responsible for regularly reviewing the performance of cleaning staff and making necessary adjustments to cleaning schedules to optimize efficiency and effectiveness
• In charge of regular communication with clients, understanding their needs, and ensuring their satisfaction with cleaning services
• Required to perform daily site inspections to assess the cleanliness and overall condition of clients’ premises and hostel. Additionally, weekly night spot checks to ensure cleaning standards are upheld during non-business hours
• Provide support and guidance to cleaning supervisors
• Responsible for tracking cleaning consumables, managing inventory, and ensuring that they are used in accordance with the allocated budget to minimize wastage
• To assist the Cleaning Manager or other higher-ranking personnel with their requests and tasks
• Responsible for driving and maintaining the company van, ensuring its good working condition and adherence to safety regulations
• Assist with cleaning tasks such as carpet cleaning and marble polishing as needed, which may involve hands-on cleaning or supervising of cleaning staff

About You:

• Minimum Diploma in Facilities Management, Operations, Hospitality, or related fields
• Prior experience working in a cleaning company or cleaning services industry
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise and guide cleaning staff
• Good communication and interpersonal skills for effective client interaction
• Able to conduct site inspections and perform occasional night spot checks
• Valid Class 3 driving license (Will be added advantage)
