Job summary

PVH (Tommy Hilfiger/Calvin Klein) is seeking a Shipping Operations Manager to own the dry bulk cargo cycle from nomination to settlement. You will manage vessel liaison, loading/discharge coordination, and documentary compliance for ore/mineral shipments.

The role requires coordinating with surveyors, freight forwarders, and finance, tracking terms, and resolving disputes. Strong analytical and communication skills are essential to ensure timely, cost-effective execution.

Responsibilities

• Full ownership of the operational cycle for dry bulk shipments, from vessel nomination through to final settlement
• Manage end-to-end shipment execution: laycan/vessel nomination, chartering liaison, loading/discharge coordination for dry bulk cargoes, including ore/mineral shipments
• Prepare and review shipping documents (B/L, COA, COO, insurance certs)
• Monitor demurrage/despatch calculations and disputes
• Coordinate with surveyors, agents, freight forwarders, and terminal operators
• Track LC/payment terms and liaise with trade finance
• Interface with traders, freight desk, and finance on P&L reconciliation
• Handle claims (quality/quantity discrepancies) where they arise
