Job summary

Parkway Hospitals Singapore PTE. LTD. is seeking a dedicated healthcare professional to support the surgical team in the operating theatre. You will assist in preparing for daily operations, ensure safety regulations are followed, and expertly handle all theatre equipment.

Communicate effectively with team members, maintain high standards of cleanliness, and respond promptly to patient and staff needs. This role emphasizes patient safety, infection control, and documentation to meet KPIs.

Responsibilities

• Reduce falls incidence rate
• Improve hand hygiene control practice
• Reduce opportunities of health care associated infection
• Evidence of good housekeeping demonstrated with no rubbish on tabletops, shelving, floor, and computers
• Damp mop the floor early in the morning and after every surgery ended
• Clear all rubbish and bagged them, dispose them in the Dirty Utility Room
• Maintain a record of Daily checklist of housekeeping done
• Improve customer service standards
• Resolve customer service / quality issues within 72 hour
• Comply to documentation standards according to chart review audit tool
• Meet monthly KPIs, with corrective actions implemented within 3 months
• Check the operating table for battery life and functionality
• Charge all equipment when not in use
• Inspect video camera system and accessories
• Ensure pictures and video are captured during the surgery

Job description

Be responsive to the surgical team's request and work as a team to provide quality care for patient in the operating theatre. Assist and support the surgical team in preparing for the day to day operations. Communicate effectively and administer safety regulations at all times. Competent in operating all Operating Theatre equipment and able to provide solution where breakdown occurs

1) Improve Patient Safety:

• Reduce falls incidence rate
• Improve hand hygiene control practice

2) Improve infection control practices:

• Reduce opportunities of health care associated infection

3) Maintain cleanliness of the environment.

• Evidence of good housekeeping demonstrated with no rubbish seen on tabletops, shelving, floor, and computers.

• Comply to documentation standards according to chart review audit tool

7) Meet Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

• Meet monthly KPIs, otherwise implement corrective actions with results by 3 months

8) Check all operating room equipment including operating table

• Check the operating table which is on battery life and functionality.
• Charge all equipment when not in use.
• Inspect and check on the functionality of all video camera system including their accessories.
• Ensure pictures and video are captured during the surgery;
