Job summary

IDC Technologies (Singapore) Pte Ltd is seeking an L1 OpenShift support engineer in Singapore to monitor clusters, perform basic troubleshooting, and respond to incidents to keep the platform healthy.

Work with DevOps, Infra and Security, manage user access, assist CI/CD deployments, and document runbooks. 2–3 years of OpenShift/Kubernetes experience and strong Linux command-line skills are preferred.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of experience with OpenShift or Kubernetes platforms.
• Strong troubleshooting and incident management skills.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK.
• Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI) is a plus.
• Knowledge of Linux systems and command line.
• Understanding of networking fundamentals (DNS, load balancing, ingress).
• Exposure to banking or financial services environments is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide L1 support for OpenShift platform including monitoring, incident response, and basic troubleshooting.
• Monitor cluster health, workloads, and infrastructure using standard tools.
• Escalate complex issues to L2/L3 with documentation and initial analysis.
• Manage user access and perform pod/application restarts.
• Support CI/CD deployment activities and runbooks creation.
• Maintain platform availability in line with SLAs.
• Collaborate with DevOps, Infra, and Security teams to resolve issues.
• Create and maintain operational documentation and knowledge base articles.

Job description

• Provide L1 support for OpenShift platform, including monitoring, incident response, and basic troubleshooting
• Monitor cluster health, workloads, and infrastructure using standard monitoring tools
• Perform routine operational tasks such as:
• User access management
• Pod/application restarts
• Log analysis and basic issue diagnosis
• Escalate complex issues to L2/L3 teams with proper documentation and initial analysis
• Support deployment activities and assist in CI/CD pipeline operations
• Maintain system availability, performance, and reliability in line with SLAs
• Work with cross-functional teams (DevOps, Infra, Security) to resolve platform issues
• Create and maintain operational documentation, runbooks, and knowledge base articles
• Participate in incident management, problem management, and change management processes
• Be open to learning and supporting additional platforms/tools integrated with OpenShift
• 2-3 years of experience working with Red Hat OpenShift or Kubernetes platforms

• Basic understanding of: Containers (Docker/CRI-O), Kubernetes/OpenShift architecture, Linux systems and command line .Familiarity with monitoring/logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK)

• Understanding of networking fundamentals (DNS, load balancing, ingress)
• Exposure to CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI) is a plus
• Basic scripting skills (Shell/Python) are advantageous
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
• Experience in banking or financial services environments (preferred but not mandatory)
• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is a plus
• Familiarity with ITIL processes (incident, problem, change management)
