PLANT ELECTRICAL INSTRUMENTATION (Pte) Ltd in Singapore seeks a project supervisor to oversee small capital projects and collaborate with the Project Engineer from planning to commissioning.

The role emphasizes safety, quality, and timely project delivery, with responsibilities spanning permit reviews, site supervision, testing witnessing, and coordination with vendors and maintenance for successful close-out.

Responsibilities

• Day to day supervision over smaller capital projects or parts of bigger projects.
• Work together with the Project Engineer, from kick off meeting, work planning, scheduling, construction, IQ, OQ and commissioning through project close out.
• Review Method Statement and Risk Assessment of contractors prior to work.
• Receive Permit to Work for contractor of piping, E & I, civil, scaffold, insulation, fire alarm and vendor ad hoc work site wide. Ensure full-time supervision for high-risk tasks such as lifting, excavation, confined space, hot work, tie-ins, power up of electrical, test run of motor and equipment.
• Coordination of works with the end user/ operation to get the window needed for tie in works, especially when working on live system.
• Review, verify, witness and sign the installation test report for electrical, mechanical, instrument, insulation, civil.
• Review issued for Construction ELD's and worked with Project Engineer for As-Built of ELD upon project completion.
• Participate in client/ contractor meetings and help in resolving engineering issues.
• Help to deliver the project on time in a cost-effective manner, quality and safety being the top priority.
• Liaise with vendor when ordering/buying new items or getting services to ensure correct items/services are delivered.
• Work closely with vendor during commissioning of new equipment and support on E and I issues.
• Review constructions Electrical and Instruments drawings submitted by contractors and ensure all were drawn as per E and I standards.
• Check and review all instruments installed by projects was correct as per ELD, Data Sheet and Area Classification.
• Witness all in house calibration of instruments by in-house contractors to ensure procedures are followed correctly.
• Help the projects in trouble shooting any issues under instruments and electrical.
• Work closely with maintenance department to ensure project execution are align to maintenance requirements.
• Help on data sheet preparation for project close out.
