Job summary

Teradyne in Woodlands, Singapore is seeking a maintenance professional to install and set up new machines, troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues on testing and storage systems, and continuously improve maintenance processes.

The role requires strong mechatronic fundamentals, knowledge of electronics and electrical principles, and the ability to work rotating 12-hour shifts on-site. Diploma in electronics/electrical/mechatronic is desirable, with 0-10 years automation experience.

Qualifications

• Solid knowledge of mechanical principles (bearings, gearboxes, actuators, pneumatic systems)
• Knowledge of electrical fundamentals (AC/DC, power distribution, protective devices, grounding)
• Knowledge of electronics fundamentals (sensors, transducers, analog/digital signals)
• Ability to use AI tools or Excel to analyze data
• Strong computer literacy and MS Office skills (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
• Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
• Clear presentation and communication in English
• Ability to work independently and travel internationally
• Operate process equipment per work instructions
• Be able to work rotating day/night shift (12 hours) with OT

Responsibilities

• Install and set up new machine.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues on testing and storage machines (motors, drivers, sensors, actuators, pneumatics, control panels).
• Continuously improve troubleshooting methods and processes.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Monitor machine performance and reduce downtime.
• Support root cause analysis and provide solutions for recurring failures.
• Collaborate with engineers and production teams to ensure smooth operations.
• Publish shift reports.
