Job summary
PERSOL is seeking an experienced embedded software engineer in One North, Singapore to design, develop and maintain firmware for microcontroller and SoC-based systems. The contract runs ASAP to December 2026, with office hours Monday to Friday and on-site work.
You will implement device drivers and application functionalities, debug with JTAG and scopes, and collaborate with hardware engineers to validate boards and improve system reliability.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in electronics, electrical, computer engineering, computer science or equivalent.
- Minimum 3 years of embedded software experience.
- Proficiency in C and/or C++ for embedded systems.
- Experience with bare-metal development and/or embedded RTOS environments.
- Familiarity with STM32 or PIC18 microcontrollers.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain embedded firmware for microcontroller and SoC-based systems.
- Implement device drivers, communication protocols, and application-level functionalities.
- Debug and resolve software and system-level issues using JTAG, logic analyzers, and oscilloscopes.
- Take ownership of assigned features and subsystems from requirements through to delivery.
- Collaborate with senior engineers on design reviews and architectural improvements.
- Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and preparation of design documentation.
- Work closely with hardware engineers to support board bring-up and system validation.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of coding standards, development processes, and overall system reliability.
