Embedded Software Engineer

Job summary

PERSOL is seeking an experienced embedded software engineer in One North, Singapore to design, develop and maintain firmware for microcontroller and SoC-based systems. The contract runs ASAP to December 2026, with office hours Monday to Friday and on-site work.

You will implement device drivers and application functionalities, debug with JTAG and scopes, and collaborate with hardware engineers to validate boards and improve system reliability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electronics, electrical, computer engineering, computer science or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of embedded software experience.
• Proficiency in C and/or C++ for embedded systems.
• Experience with bare-metal development and/or embedded RTOS environments.
• Familiarity with STM32 or PIC18 microcontrollers.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of assigned features and subsystems from requirements through to delivery.

• Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and preparation of design documentation.
• Work closely with hardware engineers to support board bring-up and system validation.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of coding standards, development processes, and overall system reliability.

Requirements:

• Familiarity with common microcontrollers (STM32 or PIC18).
